The General Data Protection Regulation Act 2018 sets out the framework for data protection law in the UK. It updates and replaces the Data Protection Act 1998, and came into effect on 25 May 2018.
This requires us to advise you about what data we retain about you, how we use it and what your rights are in respect of this.
The data we hold depends on the nature of our relationship with you.
You may fall into one or more categories as follows:
- Listeners (who receive our audio publications by post)
- Volunteers (who perform unpaid work for us)
- Donors (who provide us with funds and resources)
- Public (who visit our website or contact us by other means)
Personal data relating to a particular individual may be covered by more than one category (e.g. a listener may also be a volunteer and donor) but their data will be held and processed separately for each category.
